What to see

  • Sarmishsay petroglyphs

    Thousands of rock carvings in a gorge, some more than four thousand years old.

  • Nurata and the Chashma spring

    A spring-fed pool of sacred fish beneath the ruins of an Alexandrian fort.

  • Lake Aydarkul

    A large lake formed unintentionally in 1969, now surrounded by yurt camps.
